Introduction to Coherence - An Amazon Prime Video Movie Review

How would you like to watch a movie that can be described as science fiction, with a hint of drama with plenty of suspense? If you like these attributes for a film – then the Coherence Amazon Prime video movie may be a must-see film for you.

The above being said, you may want to know if there were any downsides to the Coherence Amazon Prime Video movie and if so what were they?

Synopsis of Coherence Movie

The Amazon Prime video movie, Coherence involves a crowd of people who seem to be having a get together around the dinner table. There are couples and single people there as well. Initially, you may begin to wonder who is exactly who and what is his or her role in the film Coherence. Pay close attention to the various conversations and you will find out that the movie is not only about couples and their relationships, but also about a strange phenomenon that you probably would not expect to happpe as the storyline unfolds.

To make a long story short, as a result of a comet, one of the dinner guests talks about odd actions that are happening. For example, for some unknown reason, Emily Floler's character's phone screen as well as those of others cr – which alarms the group at first. Everyone  seemed to calm down when Emily Foxler as Em shared the story of a previous comet’s unexplainable effects on people as it approached the earth.

By the way, the downsides of the Amazon Prime Video film included the constant conversations that were going on during the movie, especially those which did not move the story along.

As the movie’s storyline progresses, there is a power outage in the house. The group uses candles as well as a generator to try to regain light and electricity in the house. 

 In the meantime, two of the men ventured out to a house in the neighborhood that seemed to have lights and electricity. Upon the men’s  return, after coaxing from the group, they divulge a situation they saw at the other house where everyone who was currently at the dinner table, was also at the house they had just left. Of course, everyone is puzzled as to how this could be possible.

The remainder of the movie's storyline revolves around how the group tried various ways to attempt to explain and deal with what they were experiencing.

Suspense in the Coherence Amazon Prime VIdeo Movie

It goes without saying that suspense is high in the movie, Coherence, starting with the group seeming to be living in some sort of alternate reality. The major suspense is how and if they will solve this circumstance or ever find out what is really going on.

Acting Skills Displayed in the Coherence Amazon Prime VIdeo Movie

For the most part, the actors played their roles adequately. In my opinion, there were no break-out actors who stood out in the Coherence Amazon Prime Video movie. There was a break-out acting opportunity for Emily Foxler who played the part of  Em who first tied strange happenings with the approaching comet, but due to maybe the budget, script or other reasons, there were no stand out moments for her. 

The movie even has a scene where Emily Foxler's character confronts her “other self'' in one of the rooms in the house, which could have provided her the chance to display her acting skills -- but this did not happen. Since she was not the only one affected by the odd happenings that were going on, her lack of acting skills in these scenes did not affect my opinion of the...

Introduction to The Good Nurse Netflix Movie Review Versus Capturing the Killer Nurse Netflix Documentary Review

I recently watched the Netflix documentary, Capturing the Killer Nurse which was a real eye-opener for me.

This is especially true since I had already watched the Netflix movie, The Good Nurse as well as shared my movie review of The Netflix movie, The Good Nurse not too long ago.

In my comparison between The Good Nurse Netflix movie and Capturing the Killer Nurse Netflix documentary, I realized that The Good Nurse Netflix movie was actually written with a movie audience in mind. As a result, there are several embellished scenes in The Good Nurse Netflix movie.

I’ve condensed my opinions of the Netflix movie The Good Nurse when compared to the Netflix documentary, Capturing the Killer Nurse below.

Outstanding Acting of Eddie Redmayne in the Role of the Charles Cullen Character in the Netflix movie, The Good Nurse

I repeat my opinion from my Netflix The Good Nurse movie review that actor Eddie Redmayne did an excellent job depicting the Charles Cullen character. You may even notice their similar appearance and eerie unassuming mannerisms which I discussed in my Netflix movie review of The Good Nurse. 

After watching the Netflix documentary where they showed the real villain nurse, who is Charles Cullen, I think you will agree that Eddie Redmayne gave an Oscar-worthy or at least an Oscar-nominated worthy acting performance in playing this atrocious character.

Embellishments in the Netflix movie, The Good Nurse vs. the Netflix documentary, Capturing the Killer Nurse

–The partner detective who was working with the main detective is considerably younger than the actual detective who investigated these terrible and unthinkable crimes.

–The partner detective was new on the job and trying to make a good impression with his co-detective, so it is

unlikely that he was loud, condescending and verbally abusive to the female hospital administrator which was shown in the Netflix movie, The Good Nurse.

Specifically, In the Netflix movie, The Good Nurse there is a scene where the partner detective caused both himself and his partner detective to get banned from the Somerset Hospital because of these actions.

As I suspected, when I watched the Netflix documentary, Capturing the Killer Nurse this alledged verbal altercation was not shown and probably never happened.

Additionally, during the Netflix documentary, Capturing the Killer Nurse, nothing was mentioned about the detecves being banned from the Somerset Hospital where some of these crimes were taking place.

During the Netflix movie, The Good Nurse, there is a scene where Jessica Chastain’s character allows a patient's husband to stay in the hospital room after regular visiting hours to stay with his elderly wife.

The wife, unfortunately became a victim of these terrible crimes. According to the Netflix documentary, this visiing scene dispute which was shown in the Netflix movie, The Good Nurse did not happen.
