To get into the Halloween frame of mind, you may like to play a horror video game that has been listed in the top ten. This is part 2 of the top ten horror video games in no particular order as ranked by DePaul University students. Part 1 listed the top 5. Below are the remaining top five horror video games along with a description.
6. Clive Barker's Undying -- A PC game where the action takes place in a desolate Irish coast, where you play the role of an Indiana Jones-like World War II veteran.
7. Hellnight -- This video game was released only in Japan and Europe with a plot centering around you being in a metro system after a train crash, along with unfriendly creatures.
8. Eternal Darkness -- Playable exclusively on the Game Cube, this video game was heavily inspired by horror writers including writings of Edgar Allan Poe, and even had a unique "sanity meter" that was patented by Nintendo.
F.E.A.R. video game for the PC
9. F.E.A.R. -- In this game, you are in control of a SWAT-like team called F.E.A.R. which stands for First Encounter Assault Recon, specializing in the paranormal.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent video game
10. Amnesia: The Dark Descent -- This video game puts you in the role of an amnesiac trying to regain your memory while being followed by grotesque, horrific creatures.
This list completes the top ten horror video games. With the thousands upon thousands of horror video games, this list is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
