On this special 159th episode of Mom's Minute Video Game Show, Ms. H welcomes and wishes everyone a happy first Monday in August. Ms. H discusses the free Steam video game she played on her Alienware PC -- Tera: Fate of Arun.  Ms. H stated the intro graphics of the video game reminded her of Final Fantasy; however, when the game started, the characters appeared smaller in stature and were like other Steam type video games she played.  If the video game was not free, Ms. H said she would pay $2.79 for this video game because the gameplay appeared routine and did not keep her interest as she expected.  She said it was fun to customize and name her character before playing the game.  Ms. H next talked about the celebrity gamer of the week, Christina Milian as well as discussed how the singer got her start and was more interested in acting instead of singing.  A lively discussion followed on what Christina Milian meant when during an interview, she stated instead of playing a video game character such as Carmen Mendez in the Def Jam video game, that she preferred to play herself instead.  In keeping with Mom's Minute Video Game Show's format to feature the god, goddess or being named after the month during the first Monday of the Month -- the video game character of the week is Augustus Caesar.  She shared details about Augustus Caesar including the fact that he was related to and was the adopted heir of Julius Caesar who had been destroyed.  From Ms. H's research, Augustus Caesar was an astute politician who led Rome to long years of peace and he was a long-term emperor, holding this position for 40 years.  During Augustus Caesar's reign, territories were added to the Roman Empire.  After her discussion of Augustus Caesar, Ms. H talked about the HBO series Rome, that she looked at using Amazon Prime on her PS4.  She stated she did not like the gruesomeness of some of the scenes in the television series.  She also stated the first two episodes showed minimal scenes featuring Juliius Caesar and appeared to be more of a "buddy buddy" show.  Overall, Ms. H did not enjoy this show and stopped looking at complete episodes after the first two.  She said she may watch Spartacus which may be a more familiy-friendly television show that will air on Star television. The video game field trip was to Sound Vision Studios where Ms. H found a place where one could have pictures taken, have birthday parties and even record a song, complete with autotunes, if needed.  She discussed the cost charged to have a CD made from  requested pictures by this establishment.  She stated everyone may want to check out similar establishments in their area.  Ms. H shares new video game releases and the best games to play in August top the video game news.  Ms. H shared news of Electronic Arts - EA's reveal of three new video game franchises coming in April 2016, even though the name of the specific games were not available at this time.  She informed everyone  that in light of the recent release of Windows 10, some Best Buy stores are providing free training on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; however everyone should check to be sure the Best Buy in their area is providing this training.  Ms. H rounds out the show with her special original saying that there is extraordinary power in positive thinking and  to use your amazing positive powers each and every day.
