Mom's Minute

On this the 163rd live episode of Mom's Minute Video Game Show, Ms. H wishes everybody a Happy Monday.  The show starts with interesting discussion on Ms. H's choice of song to play as the interlude music for the video game played section of  the show, which leads to the topic of magic type topics.   Ms. H emphasizes that she chose the song because of the  music and upbeat melodies.   She mentions that since next Monday is the first Monday in the month of September, she will be featuring either the god or goddess the month was named for -- which does not mean that she believes in the mythical character that will be discussed.  Along a similar vein, Ms. H states that she does not promote or endorse supernatural type topics and she questions the validity of some sightings that have been reported. Discussion followed on topics including Taylor Swift's upcoming trip to Africa.  As a spin-off from this topic, Ms. H discussed whether some celebrities that give to charities are truly authentic or in some way directing the funds raised  back to themselves for their own financial gain/agendas. Ms. H discusses the  PS4 video game she played, Trans Galactic, which is free to PlayStation plus members.  Ms. H talks about the video game character of the week, Kitana from the Mortal Kombat video game franchise.  She explained how after Kitana was introduced as a playable Mortal Kombat character in the game in 1993 -- her popularity grew so much so that she has appeared in every Mortal Kombat game after that  year, including the recently released Mortal Kombat video game in 2015.  Lively discussion followed on one of the weapons used by Kitana against her enemies -- a war fan.  Ms. H found out the war fan is used as a weapon in certain types martial arts and even shared via her comments what she saw a youtube video that showed a young lady using fans during her karate moves on what looked to be a martial arts form performance. Ms. H also described some of the fans she saw on a website during her broadcast. Ms. H discusses the celebrity gamer of the week, Nikki Bella by comparing her to a wrestler she discussed previously on her show, retired wrestler,  A. J. Lee sometimes known as A. J. Brooks.  Friendly debate followed on why A.J. Lee retired from WWE, with Ms. H stating that some other athletes have retired from their sport as well.  It was mentioned that  A.J. Lee retiring instead of just leaving outright had to do with A.J. Lee's contract.  Ms. H added that A.J. Brooks is currently a spokesperson for an animal shelter.  Regarding Nikki Bella, she informed everyone that Nikka Bella  is the current Diva champion who won the title from her twin sister Brie Bella in 2012. Regarding if Nikki Bella would win a wrestling match against A.J. Lee -- Ms. H let everyone know that during one of her latest matches, Nikki Bella won when wrestling against  A.J. Lee before she retired.    She  learned that  A.J. Lee also won a tag match against Nikki Bella.  Ms. H  discusses her video game field trip to Golf Galaxy and talked about the golf-related items she saw.  Even though there were no video games at Golf Galaxy, Ms. H said there were DVDs by Tiger Woods and other golf professionals.  She lists  new video game releases and tops off the show with  news that the Mortal Kombat video game is available for play on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One -- but will not be playable on the previous generation video game consoles  such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.  Reasons for this change was discussed.  Ms. H rounds out Mom's Minute Video Game show with her special, original saying that your future is now and when you move forward with positivity and determination, you will succeed.
