Ubisoft is a stand-out at E3 2012 in Los Angeles, CA
There is a proud mantra that states -- "You will remember my name." This statement can be used to describe the awesome presence Ubisoft showed during its press conference at E3 2012. It would appear to be an abnormality if you left E3 or saw the Ubisoft news conference without remembering that Ubisoft not only delivered, but delivered in a huge way. The company made an impressive showing at E3 that indicated beyond a shadow of a doubt it knows what gamers want.
More can be said about Ubisoft's entertaining and informative presentations; however, this piece will focus on and give you a count down of the top five Ubisoft video games demonstrated at the E3 press conference, starting with number 5.
The Avengers: Battle for Earth
5. The Avengers: Battle for Earth takes 5th place not because it does not seem to be a winner, but when compared to the other video games introduced by Ubisoft, it ranks just a tad bit lower. The gameplay is action-packed and will undoutbedly provide you with lots of challenges as well.
Far Cry 3
4. Fourth place is held by the video game that, evidenced by the appearance of a female character, complete with body paint, will have a Mature rating when it is released. Far Cry 3 has impressive, realistic graphics and is stunning to look at with all the beautiful greenery around. In fact, during the press conference, the question was asked if players would be able to explore the surroundings. The answer was, of course "Yes", followed by gameplay that showed some of the video game areas that players can explore.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist
3. In third place is Tom Clancy's Spinter Cell: Blacklist with main character Sam Fisher fighting terrorism and crime. Expect lots of action with excellent voice acting all around.
Assassin's Creed III
2. The number two spot and a close finish behind the number one video game is Assassin's Creed III. If not for the unassuming, yet dramatic introduction of the video game that took the number one spot, Assassin's Creed III would have won. Just as Ubisoft can go into the future, so can it take you back to the colonial past. The main character moves effortlessly through gameplay and bravely confronts his enemies. Because of the vivid graphics, you may feel as if you are actually out in the wilderness performing jumps, climbs and fights along with the main character, Connor.
Watch Dogs
1. At the top of the list is the video game that was last to be demonstrated at Ubisoft's press conference, and ironically is the game that is probably being talked about the most. You could almost hear a needle drop in the audience, as the narrator in the video game, explained the phenomenon of data mining, where information is a premium that can be used for good or bad. A computer seemingly owns the country, and the question is who owns the computer. Watch Dogs has a new twist, never before seen in a video game. Among the innovations in the game, the main character can read your mind.
Watch Dogs is played in an open city and the city becomes your weapon. Connection is power. The question was asked: What would you do with so much power?"
WIth the exception of Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed III which have release dates of September 4, 2012 and October 30, 2012 respectively, the release date for The Avengers: Battle for Earth, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Watch Dogs are to be announced.
Along with other Ubisoft video games, Assassin's Creed III and The Avengers: Battle for Earth will be playable on the Nintendo WII U as well as other gaming consoles.
