Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon
Ubisoft is moving the video game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon from your video game console to the big screen. Along with the video games, Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is in the mix to become a movie adaptation for your viewing pleasure. This was not surprising, given the popularity of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Alpha 20-minute short movie that was produced by Ridley Scott.

The video game centers around a tactical military unit whose missions are so secret and highly classified that the soldiers are called "Ghosts."

Given the sometimes dismal showings of video games adapted to movies, the Chief Executive of Ubisoft's Motion Pictures, Jean-Julien Baronnet gave the reassurance that one of the main goals of the movie will be to make it worthy of the game's fan base. In his words, "We are really in the middle of it ... with so much at stake, it's important we do not give up the DNA of the game, the fundamental pillars."
There was no news at press time regarding an estimated release date or time frame for the movie Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon.
