Mom's Minute

Mom's Minute Video Game Show welcomes everyone to the live Halloween Eve Special which is the 124th episode. Ms. H, the host of Mom's Minute, invites listeners to return Monday, October 27, 2014  for what will be one of the scariest Halloween Shows ever.  She  thanks everyone for joining her as she played Assassin's Creed Black Flag and DC Universe Online  on Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time and 4:00 p.m  Eastern Standard Time, 1:00 p.m Pacific Standard Time respectively at http://www.twitch.tv/allgamesnetworkvideo .   Ms. H discusses two video games she played -- the video game Spelunky that she played on her PlayStation 4 and Zombies Monsters and Robots --  a Steam video game that she played on her Alienware gaming laptop.  She gave Zombies Monsters and Robots video game a higher rating, based in part on the graphics, game and team play of the game.  The video game character talked about during the show was the creature from Silent Hill, Pyramid Head.  She explained the origin of Pyramid Head, including its name -- as well as why even though this creature may not be the most unsightly video game creature, it was formidable due to its sometimes perceived alternate role to serve as the conscience of the main protagonist, James Sunderland.  Ms. H discussed this creature's role in the movies versus the video game.  The movie shows a less menacing personna of the creature, putting it in the position of being a protector and  warrior -- than a hideousmonster as played in the video game.  Ms. H recounted her experience playing the Silent Hill video game and shared with the listeners how well crafted the video game was in providing quite a frightful experience for her.  In celebration of Halloween Eve, the video game field trip was to the Halloween Superstore.  Ms. H compares a previous Halloween Superstore she visited with this one -- stating that it was larger and appeared to be more expensive.  She described some of the scary creatures exhibited at the Halloween Superstore and let everyone know that there were all types of costumes and Halloween perepheral items there, in addiiton to scary creatures.  New video game releases are discussed, including new releases from Steam.  The news of the most suffering video game characters tops the news, with Silent Hill's character James Sunderland, along with his antagonist Pyramid Head included in the list.  Ms. H gives her opinion on the article of if horror video games are better than horror movies and keeps everyone in the know by discussing the latest tech news including an upcoming cinematic reality type project in the works by Magic Leap.  Ms. H rounds out the show with her special original saying that when you have dignity and respect for yourself and others, you will always come out ahead.
