Mom's Minute

Ms. H from Mom's Minute Video Game Show begins the 139th episode with an inspiring introductory song selection from Empire as an uplifting start.  She wishes everyone a happy daylight savings time and hoped times on clocks were moved ahead one hour.  Ms. H talks about the video game she played on her PS4, Counter-Spy which regularly sold for $14.99 but was free because she is a PlayStation Plus member.  She gave the video game overall positive reviews.  She also stated she would be reviewing a video game on the Xbox One for the next show.  The video game character of the week, Supergirl is discussed including the fact that a CBS television show by the same name is on its way in the near future, with actress Melissa Benoist in the starring role.  Ms. H discussed the featured celebrity gamer of the week, Meghan Fox from the Transformers movies and video game.  Ms. H leads a lively discussion on a term she prefers not to use to reference those who may be overweight.  She concludes this discussion by stating that you should be proud of who you are regardless of your size.  The discussion stems from the news  that Facebook is banning the use of this term -- which Ms. H does not agree with.  Even though the term can be considered negative by some, unless there are circumstances Ms. H is unaware of, there is no reason to ban the term being used, in her opinion.  Another energetic discussion followed on how one should act in a work environment relative to certain type bosses etc. Ms. H responds to questions about Valve's new Steam virtual reality headset and provides a price she would pay for this device.  Ms. H next discusses her video game field trip to GameStop where she inquired about the amount that would be paid for some video games.  Needless to say, the price offered was extra low, so Ms. H declined and advised her listeners to seek other places instead of GameStop if they had video games to sell.  Ms. H informs everyone about new video game releases, and tops the news with the topic of Amazon venturing further in the video game industry by making available several new video games playable not only on androids, but the iPhone and iPad as well.  She also announces the latest location for the Video Game Live travelling orchestra show.  Ms. H rounds out the show with her special original saying to be victorious and triumphant in what you do, as there is a true winner in you.
