Happy Halloween! On this 125th episode of Mom's Minute Video Game Show -- the special Halloween edition -- Ms. H asks if everyone is ready to be scared. She makes the point that scariness is subjective, and requests listeners share what they considered scary -- whether it's sudden, eerie noises, strange creatures or other scary experiences. Ms. H reminds everyone in the U.S. to remember to set clocks back, or notice when the time change is done automatically by electronic devices on November 2, 2014 for daylight saving's time. She prefaces her show with her thoughts on her opinions on Halloween, stating that again, in her opinion, it is a fun holiday. She gets right into the video game show with scary soundtracks along with songs and noises that are sure to send shivers down her listeners' spines. Ms. H discusses ways to be safe as well as how to trick or treat safely on Halloween. When the topic of a news-topping virus surfaces, Ms. H gives her opinions on it and stated for everyone to stay on topic with the scary Halloween theme. Ms. H shares her video game experiences playing Pix the Cat on her PlayStation 4 and Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara on her PlayStation 3, preceded by scary Halloween soundtracks. Ms. H talked obout her video game field trip to an outdoor park Halloween Bootacular event with the highlight being her visit to the Mad Scientist tent where a mannequin of Frankenstein was displayed along with other Halloween items. Ms. H discussed the video game character of the week, Laura from the game Silent Hill which included a lively discussion on characters sometmes used in video games, as well as movies to evoke fright in audiences. Next, new video games released are discussed with Ms. H's observing that there were quite a number of video games being released on October 28, 2014, which included discussion of if this increase in new releases was due to the upcoming holidays. On this special Halloween video game show, Ms. H listed ten video games her listeners may want to play around Halloween. She rounds out the show with her special, original saying to keep your eyes on your positive goals, front and center and enjoy the rewards to follow when you stay the course.
