Mom's Minute

On this, the 131st episode of the Mom's Minute Video Game Show, Ms. H welcomes everyone.  This is the special Peter Pan vs Spiderman video game show.  She discusses two video games she played which both recieved the same rating.  The video games were Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare and Worms Battlegrounds that she played on her PlayStation 4 and Xbox One video game consoles respectively.  During the discussion, Ms. H expressed interest in the video game, Mirror's Edge that she found out was free the previous weekend, similar to the video game Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.  Even though Ms. H did not rate either of the games highly, she said she found out that she may be able to give a review of the video game Destiny -- the trial version that she had previously downloaded and found out that it was now installed and ready to play.  Lively discussion followed on where to locate free video games.  There was also a discussion on possibly extending the time-frame for the Mom's Minute Video Game Show.   Ms. H thanked the listener for this suggestion.    Peter Pan pitted against Spider-Man was talked about, with explanations provided for why females traditionally play the role of Peter Pan.  Discussion also included the television show Peter Pan Live, with Ms. H providing and listening to others' opinions or takes on the show. Ms. H shares her video game field trip experience to Barnes and Nobles.  She said  there were no video games at Barnes and Noble; however, there were video game related merchandise.   She talked about the video game action figures at Barnes and Nobles as well as  the Nintendo and other video game displays. Ms. H lists the new video game new releases, followed by video game news.  The featured news was on the late Ralph Baer, the Father of Video Games.  Ms. H discussed the many accomplishments, medals and recognitions Ralph Baer received as well as how he invented the first video game system.  She informed everyone that there is a  2005 book written by Ralph Baer that chronicles his inventions called Videogames: In the Beginning.  Mom's Minute Video Game Show offered condolences to the family and friends of Ralph Baer.  Ms. H rounds out the show with her special, original saying that with a positive disposition and attitude, you will  not only go far but be a shiny example for others to follow.
