Introduction to No Time to Die Movie Review

You may have watched the movie No Time to Die when it was playing in theaters. As for me, I was hoping the movie would stream on a service so I could watch it for free.  It took some time, but the No Time to Die movie is finally available on a  streaming service – Amazon Prime Video. The No Time to Die film is also available streaming free on other services as well.

As a preview, my opinion of the No Time to Die movie is overall positive. However, the question is why? Check out my movie review of No Time to Die starring Daniel Craig to find out.

Synopsis of the No Time to Die Movie

The plot of the No Time to DIe film is similar to other James Bond movies where the main character is equipped with fast cars and ultra-modern technological devices in order to battle the bad guys. Also in keeping with the James Bond playbook, James Bond has a romantic interest – Dr Madeleine Swann played by Lea Seydoux. However, this time there is a small twist in their entanglement.

In the No Time to Die movie, James Bond searched for and found the bad guy in the storyline; however, this time, the world as it stands today depends on this capture. Saving the world will be quite the feat for James Bond, but as always, he is ready and up for the mission.

Action Scenes in the No Time to Die Movie

If you enjoy movies with lots of action scenes, you will not be disappointed with the movie, No Time to Die. You will see plenty of foot and car chases, bombs, explosions, fist fights, and other action scenes in the No Time to Die movie that are sure to keep your interest.

Additionally, you will see the technologically advanced devices James Bond has at his disposal to use against the enemy. These devices include his heavily armored sports car – which was one of the many action highlights in the movie during his altercation with the bad guys.

Drama in the No Time to Die Movie

The drama in the No Time to Die movie centers around James Bond’s involvement with his romantic interest.  As I alluded to above, there is a twist in this relationship – but I will not divulge it here. Just suffice it to say that James Bond is not known as a family man per se – but he comes close to being one in the movie, No Time to Die.

Inconsistencies in the No Time to Die Movie

A few inconsistencies in the James Bond No Time to Die movie involve the audience not knowing what happens during the time span between present day and when the movie started – dealing with the fate of the young survivor. SPOILER ALERT: Also there was unnecessary, in my opinion, runarounds when there was a question of who the father of the little girl (Mathilde played by Lisa-Dora Sonnet) was.

The above being said, one of the biggest hiccups during the No Time to Die movie was the enemy simply letting the little girl escape, even though in other similar type movies, she probably would have been used as collateral etc. Additionally movie magic was used for her to miraculously find her mother on what looked to be a huge, complicated designed complex.

Stand Out Character in the No Time to Die Movie

In my opinion, the stand out character in the No Time to Die movie was actor Ana De Armas who played the character of agent Paloma. She has a small part, but to her credit, I think she gave an outstanding performance in her role.

Her part involved being a temporary action assistant or helper to the James Bond character. In fact, even James Bond, himself, complimented her on her skills in the movie. You will know what I’m referring to if you watch the No Time to Die movie.

Worst Character in the No Time to Die Movie

Even though Rami Malek is an Oscar winning actor for his role in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie, his downfall in the movie No Time to Die was his character's monotone speech pattern as well as his total lack of factial expressions when talking. Maybe he played the character as directed, but to me, he was not convincing in this role and his voice-mechanics seemed forced.

Overall Tone of the No Time to Die Movie

If you are looking for a “feel good” movie throughout, unfortunately, the No Time to Die film will not fit that bill. However, there are a few such moments in the movie but these are few and far between.

Instead, the movie No Time to Die stays true to the image of James Bond being in exotic foreign places sometimes with a romantic interest while overcoming obstacles both on land and at sea. Other formula actions include fast foot and car chases and loud explosions which are ingredients for classic James Bond movies.

Assessment of the No Time to Die Movie

Regardless of a few inconsistencies, the storyline of The No Time to Die movie was well-crafted in my opinion, with lots of action, drama and some suspense. I believe the writers of the movie did an excellent job portraying the James Bond character as many of us know him to be. For these reasons, my movie review of No Time to Die is positive.

If you have already watched the movie, No Time to Die, I believe it was time well spent. If you have not seen the No Time to Die movie, I highly recommend that you watch it.

James Bond 007's high action movie franchise has endured and entertained you and me for many years and I believe, will not let us down.

Why? Because the name of the main character is none other than Bond — James Bond.

Rating of the No Time to Die Movie

Based on a rating of 1 star to 5 stars with 5 stars being the highest, I rate the A Time to Die movie 5 stars.
