WII U's  release date is November 18, 2012

Nintendo has revealed that WII U will be released on November 18, 2012. Here's what you can expect regarding the pricing.  A basic package consisting of the console with 8 GB of internal memory and a touch pad screen will cost $299.99.  The deluxe package with 32 GB of memory will cost $349.99 and will come with a game, Nintendo Land.

WII U will have an assortment of games available for play.

Nintendo expects to release 50 games for the WII U from November 18, 2012 until March 31, 2013.

In addition to game play, you will be able to use the controller (in North America) as a remote to search for live and recorded shows as well as online videos.  Additionally, the controller can be used to socialize with friends on the Nintendo's Miiverse social network.

Even though WII U is expected to sell well, Analysts are predicting sales will not be as robust as sales for the original WII when it was introduced.

Darksiders II tops video game sales for the month of August, 2012

Darksiders II is reported as the top video game sold in the month of August 2012. This is according to the research firm NPD Group  which tracks sales of new physical products. Excluded are  used video game sales, rentals as well as digital and social networking games.

Darksiders II is a a Mature Rated action-adventure role playing game developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ. 

  Darksiders II was released on August 14, 2012, and is playable on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC.

Assassin's Creed 3

If you ever wondered when Downloadable Code (DLC) will be available for Assassin's Creed after the game is released, wonder no more. Ubisoft has announcned that DLC will be released every month on a regular basis.

Other changes to expect for Assassin's Creed 3 include new challenges as you level up your game. For the multiplayer mode, every month, you will unlock new content that will take you through the entire year.

Also for the multiplayer mode, the climate will affect your gameplay.  For example, rain and blizzards will have an impact on how you play.  Your visibility and movement may suffer, depending on how you play the game.

Instead of being a side line story like the previous versions of Assassin's Creed, this game will give you the chance to walk in Connor's shoes and take down wolves and enemy soldiers.

Assassin's Creed 3 will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 31, 2012.

Call of Juarez for 2013 will be downloadable

Ubisoft has announced the next series of Call of Juarez will be available as a digital download.  Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is a western first person shooter that will feature such infamous characters as Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and the Dalton Gang.

Ubisoft's announcement is news because the previous versions of Call of Juraz were available for play on the consoles as regular video games, vice strictly by download.

During game play, you as the player, will be pitted in the shoes of a yet unnamed bounty hunter.

The downloadable  Call of Juarez video game is rated Mature and will be playable on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and the PC.

The release timeframe for the next installment of Call of Juarez is 2013, with no specific date available at press time.
