Resident Evil 6, developed and published by Capcom, will be launched on October 2, 2012. A PC version will be released at a later date.  

However, if you like, you can pre-order this video game and receive a GameStop exclusive Mercenaries Stage: The Catacombs. In the Catacombs, there are traps ready to ensnare you at every corner, unless your reflexes are quick enough to avoid them.

If you pre-order from Amazon.com, you will receive an exclusive Mercenaries Stage:  The High Seas Fortress which includes a nautical location.  Pre-order from Best Buy and you will receive an exclusive Mercenaries Stage:  The Rail Yard. Enemies are lurking in the rail yard and you will have to stay on the move when playing this video game to survive.

During gameplay, you will fight against two enemy types -- zombies and J'avos.  The difference between the J'avos and zombies is the J'avos can intereact between each other to plan attacks, use weapons and heal themselves.

The story is set in the year 2013 and involves U.S. President Adam Benford revealing the truth behind the incidents that occurred in the 1998 Racoon City destruction, with the belief that this information will curb the recent insurgence of bioterrorist activity. 

Resident Evil 6 will have a demo playable on the PlayStation Network and  XBox Live MarketPlace available on September 5, 2012.

Marvel Avengers Alliance video game is on Facebook

With impressive overseas reviews of The Avengers movie with its early release, you may be wondering if a video game will follow.  The Avengers movie grossed more than $8 millon in Australia, Taiwan and New Zealand  on opening day.

High expectations await The Avengers movie when it opens in the United States on May 4, 2012. It is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. 

But what about the accompanying Avengers video game?  Is there one?  According to TQ Jefferson, Marvel's vice president of game production, a video game, Avengers Alliance (pictured above) has already been released for Facebook -- but this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Jefferson states that more Avengers video games are planned that will be playable across multiple video game touchpoints.  In his words:  "The Avengers are bigger than just one game, and we'll planning to allow consumers to enjoy The Avengers regardless of their preference in gameplay style or platform.  Look for announcements in the weeks to come."

Diablo 3 will be released on May 15, 2012

If you have been waiting for Diablo 3, you do not have to wait much longer.  The anticipated video game will be be released on May 15, 2012 for the PC.  You can pre-order now, and play the game as soon as it hits the server on May 15th.  The pre-purchased game will be an encrypted version to be unlocked on May 15th and can be bought by visiting the battle.net website.

World of Warcraft  players had the option to obtain the game free using their annual pass, up until 12:01 a.m., May 1, 2012, pacific standard time.

Diablo 3 is a horror role playing game developed by Blizzard Entertainment that is playable on the PC. It is the third series of the Diablo franchise.

When playing Diablo 3, you will be able to return to Tristram and discover the secrets of a fallen star.  You can begin your quest to defend Sanctuary from invasion, as well as experience other adventures. 

You will have a choice of various characters in Diablo 3

Auction houses will be available in Diablo 3 where you can use in-game gold or buy and sell virtual items for real world money.  Some of the changes will be similar to actions available in the video game, StarCraft II.  There will not be a player versus player (PVP) mode.  According to Blizzard Entertainment lead designer, Jay Wilson, PVP will be available later in a future patch and will include multiple arena maps with themed locations and layouts.

Mass Effect  3Free DLC to be released Summer, 2012

Looks like it was difficult for EA and BioWare not to hear the furious outcries from Mass Effect 3 fans regarding the ending of this video game.

Not only will BioWare be releasing DLC for Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut,  but more importantly, the DLC will be free.  If you are one of the video game players who was disappointed with Mass Effect 3's ending, you may get some satisfaction from the DLC.

The rumor is the ending will not be exactly a new one, but will expand upon some areas where you may have had questions and wanted some closure.

According to BioWare GM Raz Muzyka, "With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team's artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe."

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier release date is May 22, 2012

One of the most anticipated video games, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier  will be available on May 22, 2012.  However, if you have a PlayStation Network Plus membership, preordered the game from GameStop or own a copy of Splinter Cell Conviction, you can play the beta version that has been out since April 19, 2012. Some select users on Uplay will also be able to play the beta game.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier beta version features two plays -- Conflict and Saboteur.  If you play the multiplayer beta, you will not have to wait long for teams or players.  The beta version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier is quite active with video game players.

Changes in the latest version of this video game when it is released includes gunsmithing, which UbiSoft revealed during June 2011's E3 and the camera switching  from third person to first person to ensure more precise aiming.  In this game, your cover can be destroyed, causing you to constantly seek better cover. Lots of other changes will be included as well.
